Large flexible tanks are mainly used in the agricultural sector for storing water reserves for irrigation purposes, and in the military field to supply potable water to camps. Other applications include civil areas not equipped with water supply systems.
To prevent the water inside the tanks from freezing, thermal blankets are used to heat and insulate the contents, avoiding solidification.
Additionally, the entire hydraulic system — including pumps, pipes, and branches — can be insulated and heated to ensure proper operation.
This insulating solution can also be used in hot climates; in such cases, it prevents tanks from overheating by reducing direct solar radiation.
