Features and Benefits

The ATEX heating blankets for IBCs are certified for installation in ATEX environments, meaning in potentially explosive atmospheres. They are manufactured in compliance with Directive ATEX 2014/34/EU and are suitable for use in “Zone 2”. The heating blanket is applied to IBC containers, made with flame-retardant materials, and reaches a surface temperature of about 30°C in the basic version and 80°C in the enhanced version.

The ATEX IBC heating blankets allow protection from cold, viscosity control, and maintenance of paints, oils, and other liquids used in potentially hazardous industrial processes at optimal temperature. The heating is evenly distributed without hot spots along the side surface of the container, while insulation minimizes heat loss, preventing energy waste and ensuring maximum safety.

The ATEX IBC heating blanket must be wrapped around the sides of the tank and closed with Velcro and fastening straps to fit tightly. The insulating lid should be placed on the top for better insulation. The temperature of the blanket can be adjusted by installing an external ATEX-certified thermostat.

Combinations

Instructions :

It is possible to choose between two types of heating jackets for IBC containers: the anti-freeze version TI_CIST.TA (1100W), which prevents the product from freezing, and the enhanced version TI_CIST.TA.P (2400W), which can heat the contents even during the coldest seasons. Both versions are supplied without a control thermostat, which is available as an optional accessory.

Optional accessories

  • ATEX certified thermostat: the thermostat allows you to control the surface temperature of the heating jacket and set the desired value. A specific model is supplied for the anti-freeze version and another one dedicated to the enhanced version.
