Features and Benefits

The ATEX heating blanket for drums is certified for installation in potentially explosive atmospheres. The thermal blanket is manufactured in compliance with ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU and approved for use in “Zone 2”. Drum heating systems are made of flame-retardant and self-extinguishing materials and are available for drums and barrels of various capacities and sizes.

ATEX drum heaters protect against cold, control viscosity, and maintain the temperature of the contents inside tanks such as paints, oils, and substances used in industrial processes within explosion-risk environments. Heating is evenly distributed with no hot spots on the side surface of the container, and insulation minimizes heat dispersion.

The thermal blanket should be wrapped around the sides of the drum and closed with Velcro and fastening straps to ensure a snug fit to the tank. The ATEX heating blanket can be easily assembled and removed as needed; for example, it can be used only during winter or in humid and harsh areas, even in potentially hazardous environments. The temperature of the thermal blanket can be adjusted via an external ATEX-certified thermostat.
